Since the longer than I can remember I am attracted by the religious iconography , teenager I came in every church that was on my way. At one time I even visited as many cemetery, I loved and still love all these things that we put on the graves , plastic flowers , statuettes and religious icons. I can not really explain it. The nurse who kept me tata as Joe called it , had an apartment more kitsch ( late 70s early 80s ) and it’s probably from that moment that my attraction to all that is distasteful s’ developed .
Child , I long party of scouts from Europe, it is with them that I was very often in the Sunday Mass , later my parents enrolled me in Sunday school and even later I followed my education in a private school. All this does however not enough to make me believe in God but surely made me develop a taste for all ” graphic displays ” religious .
Moreover since a very long time of Christ, Blessed Virgin , St. Anthony or St. Michel enthroned in my workshops
I never mixed this passion to my work until today , it is falling on an image from my freelance idea that I had a sudden and it falls in spades because I am in time in full change in the topics I want to address .
So do not see any religious meaning in Sophia and Victoria , I just created to satisfy my eyes …
That is why I removed the word “Holy ” before each of their names .
